The Academic Success Center (ASC) opened in fall of 2004 in its current location in Waldo Hall. The ASC was identified as a priority in the strategic planning review initiated by President Ed Ray. Charged with providing academic support services for all students at Oregon State University, the ASC’s strategic planning is guided by the central premise that we are a student-centered unit. The ASC office in Waldo Hall serves as a centralized location for information and referral for students, staff, and faculty.
In fall of 2012, program offerings expanded to the Beth Ray Center for Academic Support, a unique, collaborative space shared with Academics for Student Athletes.
The ASC values collaborating with campus partners, believing that a unified campus effort can bring about the best opportunities for student success and engagement. We support our strategic planning and program delivery with local and national best practices applied by well-trained professionals committed to student success. We welcome students, staff, and faculty to stop by and learn more about our programs.
